closed solution for the RJ1.2 Antenna Beam?
Hi. I finally got my RadioJove rig set up just in time for Jupiter to disappear out of the midwest until spring. I'm noodling around listening to other objects in the RA~3.0 neighborhood here in Ann Arbor and am interested in developing a method for extracting features of objects larger than 'point sources.' To do so, I'm interested in experimentally finding the pattern of very narrow radio objects crossing my RJ1.2 beam. I think it would be valuable to compare how those objects appear in real life with how they would appear in an ideal beam from the RJ1.2.
Does anyone know the closed solution for the beam? I don't have EZNEC, and suppose I could use it if that software will output a readable file of the beam intensity vs. RA and Dec.
Any thoughts?
Cheers, and happy new year,
John
